Joelle Aune
With my sculptural work, I explore materials, the tactility, and narrative it holds, and lastly capture a moment of movement that intuitively unfolds into an object that is transformative with the natural light. I’m fascinated by the framework for life objects and the surrounding environment that creates and evokes feelings within us, something I explore at the moment during my studies at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm.
Art title: “Silhouettes No.07”
Silhouettes is created with inspiration drawn from ancient vessels exploring volume, perspective, and tactility. The sense of femininity in the soft curved shapes, that further possesses great strength and direction. The association to, and in awe of the female body; our vessel moving through life, vessels carrying life.
