Painting has always been my passion and I like to paint subjects that are slightly skewed in some way. It can be about everyday situations that are not arranged or where the clothes reveal something about the time.
Art title: Utflykt i matriarkat, 1863
The painting is a version of Édouard Manet's " Luncheon on the Grass" from 1863. My version shows what art history could have looked like if we lived in a matriarchy, an image that might be perceived as bizarre. I don't think women would have exercised their power in the same way as men in a matriarchy, but that's something we'll never know.
