Rebecca von Matérn is a self-taught artist who paints and lives in her grandfather's old apartment studio in Stockholm. She makes her own frames and her art can be described as a reflection of how her energy is in the moment and over the amount of time she is working on the piece.
Lotus - This piece, like most of Matérns work, does not represent an isolated feeling but a process of leaving the old behind and stepping into something new. For her, that feeling is as abstract as the work. It only gives a barely hint of what is to come and the only thing that guides her forward is her intuition.
